Steve Smith went on to say, "The special STG Helmet Lighting System enhances the safety and visibility of the officer while wearing the helmet, by instantly alerting oncoming motorists of their presence, on and off their vehicle."
During operation the wireless LED brake lights on the rear of the officer's helmet alerts oncoming motorists when brakes are applied. In addition, a wireless LED light bar is activated when the officer is responding to an emergency. The lights oscillate from amber to blue or red to blue. The aerodynamic design of the wireless LED housing on all helmets, are mounted to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety requirements.
