CHEP has Joined Forces with Element ID to Provide a New State of the Art Reusable Container Management and Tracking Solution for Manufacturers and Warehouses
BETHLEHEM, PA / ACCESSWIRE / September 13, 2016 / CHEP, a Brambles Company, and Element ID have announced a partnership to offer a complete, best-in-class asset tracking system targeted at manufacturers and warehouses. The companies are offering a full-turnkey solution encompassing a customized solution design based on existing processes, hardware, software, and the support to assure stakeholder alignment. By combining Element ID's RFID data collection solution with CHEP's CHEP-TRAC software and drawing on business process knowledge and implementation expertise from both companies, manufacturers will have real-time visibility into asset location and event status as well as the ability for online ordering, access to shipping documents, and comprehensive reporting capabilities. The solution can be implemented throughout the supply chain to facilitate better planning, ordering, and efficiency.
Working together, CHEP and Element ID have greatly reduced the cost of data capture and management while improving data integrity. The customizable solution can automatically scan pallets and containers of raw materials as they leave the supplier's warehouse and then automatically scan them again upon arrival at the production facility. Element ID provides the integration, RFID design expertise, device level software, RFID hardware, and ongoing hardware support and maintenance for the solution. CHEP not only provides the cloud-based asset tracking software, but also draws on extensive expertise in supply chain management to help customers refine the process, develop key performance indicators (KPIs), and works with customers to assure the technology generates a positive return for stakeholders
