WASHINGTON, DC / ACCESSWIRE / November 3, 2023 / On Friday, December 1, through Sunday, December 3, 4,000 tradeswomen along with top labor, government and industry leaders from across North America will be in Washington, D.C. for the annual Tradeswomen Build Nations Conference.
Tradeswomen Build Nations (TWBN), hosted by North America's Building Trades Unions (NABTU), is the largest annual building trades conference in the world, bringing together tradeswomen from the United States and Canada. TWBN has become an international movement that combines mentorship, sisterhood and activism to address key issues and increase the retention of tradeswomen in the unionized construction workforce. This year's conference will include plenary and breakout sessions with networking opportunities focused on empowering, uplifting and developing skills to help tradeswomen succeed. The event will focus on DEI and policy investments for women and working families in the construction industry as well as the important research and programs that are improving recruitment, retention, education, health, safety, childcare, and career opportunities for union tradeswomen.
