Maple Leaf 2012 Energy Income Limited Partnership Completes Transfer of Maple Leaf Royalties (TSX.V: MPL) Shares to Investors

VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESSWIRE / February 10, 2015 / Further to our January 30, 2015 news release, Maple Leaf 2012 Energy Income Limited Partnership ("Maple Leaf 2012 LP") is pleased to report that the transfer of Maple Leaf Royalties Corp. (TSX.V: MPL) shares (the "Shares") to investors has now been completed and Maple Leaf 2012 LP was dissolved today.

115.05450 Shares for each Maple Leaf 2012 LP unit held were transferred to investors on a tax-deferred basis. Capital gains tax will be payable when the Shares are sold.
 
As previously announced, the Shares are subject to certain resale restrictions with one-third being released from resale restrictions as follows:

- Maple Leaf Royalties Corp. Common Shares (CA56531N5055) - EXP May 31, 2015
- Maple Leaf Royalties Corp. Common Shares (CA56531N6046) - EXP September 30, 2015
- Maple Leaf Royalties Corp. Common Shares (CA56531N7036) - EXP December 30, 2015

Holders of the Shares will receive any cash distributions paid during the resale restriction period.

Pursuant to the Partnership's unique business model, investors received total cash distributions of $30.55 per $100 invested and tax deductions of $60.23 to date. Over the next few years, investors will continue to realize further tax deductions such that aggregate tax deductions will equal approximately 100% of invested capital.
