BETHANY BEACH, DE / ACCESSWIRE / October 27, 2022 / Today GuardianSattm, under the leadership of President Robert Briskman and CEO Christopher Rohe, announces the development of an integrated countermeasure system on satellites which autonomously neutralizes ground, air and space-based anti-satellite attacks. The new technology aligns with GuardianSat's founding principle of protecting and preserving space by eliminating threats to satellites with space domain defense systems. Since GuardianSat's launch in 2020, it has relentlessly pursued solutions for space domain awareness and security.

As the space economy expands, satellites become an increasingly critical portion of commercial and military infrastructure. Unfortunately, satellites are high-value targets to adversarial nations to disrupt the Intelligence Community and Space Economy. The increase of anti-satellite weapons development and testing has proceeded mostly unanswered. Defense against these weapons is further complicated by the exceedingly short time from deployment to impact, making it impossible for ground controllers to avoid asset loss. In response to these growing threats, GuardianSattm is developing an autonomous onboard anti-satellite weapon countermeasure system to neutralize both ground, air and space based hostile attacks using its propriety technology.
The satellite defense system uses microwave/lidar to detect and track approaching objects, an intelligent processor to determine if the object is hostile using a variety of input data and, if so, to activate and deploy passive defenses, such as decoys, and active defenses, such as interceptors.
GuardianSattm is a generational company founded by Mr. Robert D. Briskman and Mr. Christopher Rohe with indispensable patented technology focused on the protection of orbital assets from space debris and improvement of space domain awareness.
Before the launch of GuardianSattm, Mr. Briskman co-founded Sirius Satellite Radio and was responsible for implementing its satellite and terrestrial network, now called SiriusXM. He previously directed the implementation of satellite telecommunications systems at COMSAT and NASA for over three decades. He holds a BSEE degree from Princeton University and an MSEE degree from the University of Maryland (UMD). Mr. Briskman is a Fellow of IEEE and AIAA, holds numerous patents, has published more than 70 technical papers, and has been inducted into the Space Foundation, Consumer Electronics Association, International Astronautical Federation, UMD Innovation and SSPI Halls of Fame.
Mr. Christopher Rohe recently retired from 24 years of service in the United States Air Force, and served as an executive and program manager/acquisition officer overseeing missile systems development programs and technical innovations both on the government and industry sides. Mr. Rohe's career since the United States Air Force Academy and Harvard's Kennedy School of Government has been focused solely on new, novel and transformative solutions for the government in multiple roles, from emerging startups to Fortune 50 companies to national DoD consortia - to leading-edge government roles.
